A single network that moves voice, data, and now video -- simultaneously -- is an area we've been involved with for decades. We bring this experience to the table to help you with...
Converged Network Strategies -- Novus Communications Canada. At a critical time in November 2007, the Canadian CLEC industry was provided new rules that excluded the concept of UNI-P or Unbundled Network Elements as was prescribed in the USA. Novus was already a CableTV company. We came in with a Telecom switching, operations and IRU fiber plan that allowed Novus to launch in Vancouver, British Columbia with Internet, Cable TV and Telephone in a full triple-play architecture.
Television Delivery Networks -- At Cables Plus, FirstLink Communications and Novus Communications, we developed pre-PON delivery of triple-play services for facility based network operators who were not simply reselling a managed services offering.
Telephone Networks -- We worked extensively with facility-based carriers in the non-resale network architecture to provide solutions for fully facility base network technologies and operations. We also assisted service bureau development such as NueStar and iLLUMiNET to develop products in Intelligent Network databases (LNP/LIDB/CNAM) for carriers to gain critical mass before deploying the functions themselves.
In addition, we worked in industry standards to develop platforms for interconnection that encouraged facility base operations and a growth to larger scale operations and discourage network resale of the ILECs.
We encourage the growth of Carrier SIP trunking for VoIP product offerings.
Internet Service Providers -- our team of consultants worked in Mozilla, Netscape and Open Source Development Labs to encourage Carrier Grade operations for Carrier ISP offerings and the encouraged use of LDAP and MetaDATA architecture.
Cellular/Mobile Networks -- We worked in Home and Visitor Locator Registar Architecture to usher in LDAP licensing solutions along with LNP, CNAM solutions in Type II DID a common interface for cellular operators at that time.
Wireless -- We deployed Wi-Fi in 1998 using Way-port and Wi-LAN products. We have a long history of Spread Spectrum solutions dating to 1985 with the launch of Digital Electronic Messaging Service (DEMS for frequency hoping and Point-Multipoint operation).
